Festival Season

Harbourlife 2009

Harbourlife marks the start of the festival season for me and if it’s any indication of the festivals to come, I think we’re in for a great summer! I’d been checking the weather all week hoping that it wouldn’t storm and we were in luck. We had perfect weather, not too hot and not cold (like last year). Since it was right next to Sydney Harbour we got a nice cool breeze. It really is the festival with the best location.

It was great to catch up with some old high school mates, I haven’t seen these guys in a couple of years. All up we span 3 generations of Birrong Girls.

I was really looking forward to Stanton Warriors, but I think Martin Solveig stole the show. I know you can’t really see what’s going on in the photo below, but that’s Martin on stage … somewhere.

The day really seemed to fly by and before we knew it we were all calling out for One more song! Martin graced out requests with a killer track by the Red Hot Chilli Peppers – an odd choice, but none the less still fun. (I’m pretty sure it was the chilli peppers, but correct me if I’m wrong…)
