Ouch-tag

Oz-tagNat’s been asking me to play Oz-tag for a while now and everytime she’s asked I’ve been busy. Last night there were no excuses so I went to play. It was a bit of a trek getting to the Shire and when you’re there, the temperature feels 10 degrees colder. Hobbits must like cold weather.

Being my first time playing Oz-tag of course I sucked. Everyime I went to snatch a tag, I would look my hands and find nothing there, no tag and the player already half way down the field. I think the guys on the opposite team realise that I was crap so they’d charge full speed in my direction, which is damn scary cause they’re big (and fast).

Nat kindly forgot to mention that every time someone fills in for their team, they get injured. Well I’m no exception. While chasing a tag, I didn’t see one of my teammates chasing the same tag from the opposite direction. As you can imagine, there was a big clash and my shoulder was introduced to the ground. I’ve now got a nice shiner on my shoulder – battle scars!

She also forgot to mention that you get pretty dirty (especially if you fall). The ground is pretty worn and there’s a lot of dirt to be kicked around and taken home on your shoes. My poor Asics, they’d never seen dirt before.
