Electric scooter (with pedals)

Eazyride scooterWe went over to Maree’s house for dinner the other day, she cooked up a mean lasagna. I’m talking 6 layers of meat; veggies; AND spinach and ricotta, all in one giant lasagna.

It’s been a while since we were over Maree’s and a lot has changed since the last time we were over. Furniture’s been moved around, cars have been sold, and the most interesting of all was this neat little yellow scooter out the back.

This little baby is an Eazyride electric scooter that makes next to no noise. It’s seriously quiet. If you ever need an escape vehicle, this would be it. Though it’s not a quick-dash as it’s max speed (according to the gauge) is 50km/hr. Besides it’s brilliant quietness, another plus is that it doesn’t require any gas or petrol – you simply plug it into the wall to charge the battery.

Now why does it have pedals?
If you find that you’re running a little low on juice, you can start pedaling and give the bike an extra push (especially when going up a hill with 2 cases of beer on the scooter – true story. Not me though). The pedals are in a bit of an inconvenient spot, you might feel like your trying to pedal while on a horse because of the width of the scooter. But because it does have pedals, it means (under the current law) that you don’t need a motorcycle license or any license at all for you or the scooter. That’s right no rego.

Would be an awesome investment if you didn’t have a license or car. It’s priced around the $1400 mark.
